I have seen so many beautiful 'sunset' inspired makeup looks this summer using orange, pink and purple hues, and I thought seeing as Summer is coming to an end, and to celebrate the fact that I go on holiday on Monday, I would finally put my own spin on this look! I paired the bold eye look with an ombre plum and pink lip, and I love how the overall finish turned out! To find out how I got this look and all the products used, see below!
EYES
Seeing as we are using a lot of colour and pigments today, I started off with my eyes so that I didn't ruin my base. To get that sleek, sharp line, I used some masking tape from the outer corners of my eye, leading up to the end of my eyebrow.
To start off the look, I primed my eyes with the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NC15 and set that with some loose powder. Next, taking the Morphe 35O Matte palette (I promise I'll stop using this in every post soon, but it is just the most perfect thing), taking this warm orange shade (top left), I blended this shade out into my crease as my inital transition shade. To deepen the crease, using this more red toned orange shade (top right), I blended this out on top of the lighter orange shade in the crease. After this, to add more dimension to the crease, I used this red toned shade (bottom left) on a more defined brush from the outer corners to the inner corners. Then, on a pencil brush, taking this deep red shade (bottom right), I applied this through the crease and blended it seamlessly.
Next, using the Sleek i-Divine Enchanted Forest Palette, taking the shade 'Beatrice', I began patting this on the very outer corners and blended this into the crease. To further deepen the outer corners, I then went over top of that with the deeper purple shade 'Anastasia'. To give my lose pigment a base to stick too, I used the new Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in the shade '101 Breathless' from the centre of my lid to the inner corners. I then went in with the Models Own Powder Eyeshadow in the shade 'Neon Peach' on top of the Color Tattoo. Next, using the NYX Glitter Primer, I patted this on top of 'Neon Peach' to prepare my lid for glitter! For glitter, I am using this absolutely beautiful 'Peachy Keen' shade again from Models Own. To prep my lashes for falsies, I am using a few coats of my favourite mascara - the Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof mascara in Black. For lashes, I am using these gorgeous no 141 Exaggerate lashes from Eylure.
For my lower lash line, I am taking the shade 'Anastasia' from the Sleek Enchanted Forest palette on the outer corners of my eyes leading into the warm orange shade from the Morphe 35O Palette. For the very inner corners of my eyes, I used the NYX Glitter Primer along with the Models Own 'Peachy Keen' shade. Next, I lined my waterline with the Rimmel Soft Kohl Liner in Black followed by a few coats of the same Maybelline mascara on my lower lashes.
FACE
After removing the tapes from my eyes, to add some glow to my pale complexion, I used the No7 Skin Illuminator in 'Nude'. For foundation, I used the No7 Beautifully Matte in the shade 'Warm Ivory'. I then took the same MAC Pro Longwear concealer that I primed my eyes with and concealed my under eyes, and highlighted the centre of my forehead, chin and down the bridge of my nose. To set and bake my under eyes and the areas I highlighted, I used the No7 Perfect Light Loose Powder in Translucent. To set the rest of my face, I dusted on the MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC25. To contour and bronze up the outer perimeter of my face in the shape of a number 3, I used the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, followed my the No7 Shimmer Palette in Bronze to highlight my face. To finish off the face, I dusted on some MAC Mineralize Blush in 'Petal Power', followed by a few spritz of the NYX Dewy Makeup Setting Spray.
For my brows I used the NYX Tame and Frame Brow Pomade in Chocolate and set them in place with the Maybelline Brow Sculpting Mascara in Medium Brown.
LIPS
To create the ombre lip, I first outlined my lips using the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in the shade 'Obsession'. I then went in with 'Flat Out Fabulous' lipstick by MAC and blended the two products together using my finger!
