MAYBELLINE COLOR DRAMA INTENSE LIP PAINT SWATCHES & REVIEW//MAKEUP

Hello! Today I am carrying on from my recent post MAYBELLINE COLORSENSATIONAL CREAMY MATTE LIPSTICKS REVIEW & SWATCHES//MAKEUP, and talking about the new Maybelline Color Drama Intense Lip Paints set to be released in the UK in the next few weeks! These lip paints have been available in the US for months, and the time has come for us Brits to finally be able to get our hands on these bold glosses.

This product is described as "Maybelline's vibrant lip paint delivering 8x more pigment in every drop." Maybelline state that this products goes "beyond a gloss with a jolt of intense color."

As far the packaging goes, the product comes in a 6.4ml tube with a sponge tip applicator making it really lightweight and perfect for travelling. I always use a lip liner when it comes to applying any lip products no matter what the formula or finish, however, my first impressions of this product was incredible as I tried it without a lip liner and was astonished how easy it was to get a clean finish. The sponge tip applicator dispenses the product evenly and makes the intensely pigmented formula glide onto your lips evenly and effortlessly.

Surprisingly, and I say surprisingly because for some reason glosses just aren't my favourite lip products (horrific I know), I am obsessed with the formula of these lip paints. In the past, lip glosses I have tried have been very sticky and always leave that annoying string like mess of product between the top and bottom lip as you are talking (if that makes any sense) which I cannot stand, so I was a bit hesitant trying these products. But due to these being designed as a lip paint with a glossy finish, the crazy pigmentation glides onto your lips with ease and delivers an intense shine with a beautiful, vibrant colour. The creamy texture is so luxurious on the lips, not in the slightest drying with no stickiness or mess, no smell and they are really long lasting. It fair to say, these lip paints have given me hope that I can love glossy lips as much as a do a matte finish!

The 4 colours being released in the UK are: 110 Never Bare, 120 Fight Me Fuchsia, 520 Red-dy Or Not and 370 Vamped Up. Below I have swatched all the colours on my lips!

110 Never Bare

120 Fight Me Fuchsia

520 Red-dy Or Not

370 Vamped Up

Be sure to keep an eye out for these incredible lip paints landing on Maybelline UK stands in the next few weeks!

WARM SMOKY EYES & BOLD METALLIC LIP//MAKEUP

I have been waiting for the day I get my paws on the incredible Morphe 35O Palette for what seems like forever! After seeing Cult Beauty post on Instagram that they are extending their Morphe Collection by adding the '35O's little sisters', I immediately went to their website and ordered the matte and shimmer palettes, eeeek! Expecting to wait 2-5 business days as the shipping said, I arrived home from work the next day to see my new babies waiting for me! As soon as I opened them, I couldn't wait to play around with all the beautiful warm toned colours, so today I have created a warm smoky eye, paired with a bold metallic lip! All the details of how I created this look and all the products used are below:

MAYBELLINE COLORSENSATIONAL CREAMY MATTE LIPSTICKS REVIEW & SWATCHES//MAKEUP

If you are from the UK like myself, then you'll understand the pain of waiting months and months for new products to launch after the US release date. Us Brits must be considered a patient bunch because the waiting game is agony, however, the time is coming to a close for the release of the eight new colours adding to the current Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks; hallelujahhhhh!

I have been a fan of the original collection since the day they launched, so I have desperately been anticipating to see what the new shades will bring. Thank you to the wonderful people behind Maybelline UK, I have the entire bunch of new shades named: 'clay crush', 'blushing pout', 'orange danger', 'rich ruby', 'fiery fuchsia', 'berry boost', 'burgundy blush', and 'midnight merlot', being added to the original colours: 'nude embrace', 'rose rush', 'magnetic magenta', 'craving coral', 'siren in scarlet' and 'divine in wine'.

The description of these lipsticks follows: "slip into our creamist matte formula, meets bold pigment colour for our smoothest, most seductive mattes, in make-a-statement shades. New Color Sensational Cream Mattes give you matte lips that look smooth moisturised and more plump, and feel comfortable all day."

I always fear when it comes to matte lipsticks that by the end of the day, the colour is going to be flaking off leaving my lips dry and lacking some serious moisture, however, as the name gives away, these are made with a ridiculously creamy formula! It almost feels like you've just applied a lip balm - LOVE. As far as the pigment of the shade goes, some of the new shades such as 'berry boost' and 'fiery fuchsia' aren't for the faint hearted as they are as bold as bold can be. They make the most perfect statement lip. Another thing I noticed immediately after receiving these beauties are how diverse the colour range is, as there is a shade for everyone and every occasion - from bright coral orange to an intense fuchsia, to a pale blushing pink to a perfect nude. After wearing the shade 'clay crush' all day, I did need to reapply a sweep of lipstick after eating and drinking, but this doesn't bother me as I would rather my lips feel comfortable than the lipstick being glued and tight on my lips. Apart from this, the colour lasted amazingly and I didn't suffer from the old 'lipstick on the teeth' horror which I have been a victim of multiple times embarrassingly.

To help you sum up which colours are perfect for use I have swatched them all of my lips below!

Clay Crush

Blushing Pout

Orange Danger

Rich Ruby

Fiery Fuchsia

Berry Boost

Burgundy Blush

Midnight Merlot

Keep an eye out for the launch of these beauties in stores and online in the next few weeks!
