WINTER WEDDINGS//ROSE GOLD MAKEUP

When I think of Weddings, I always think of pretty makeup, such as pale pinks, creams, taupe and a hint of gold/silver to add a bit of shimmer! So this is exactly the inspiration I took on board when I was creating this makeup look for a wedding that my Boyfriend, his family and I went to on Friday.

For my base makeup, you can find all the products used and how I used them over at my NIGHT GLAM//MAKEUP post.

Once my face is complete, I took my Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil in the shade Brownie points and began defining my brows by following the natural shape of the arch. I then used my Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara in the shade Medium Brown and combed through the hairs to give a natural, even finish.

Next I moved onto my eyes! To create this look I used my beloved Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. To begin, I took the shade 'trick' on a flat eye shadow brush and patted the colour across on my entire lid.

Once my lid is covered with the shade 'trick', I then took 'dust' on the same eye shadow brush and placed that over the top of 'trick' to give a beautiful 'rose gold' effect. It's completely up to you how intense you want the pink of 'dust' to appear so apply as much or a little to your taste, but seeing as pink is my favourite colour, I piled it on, lol.

Now that the base of the lid is complete, to define my crease I took a large fluffy crease brush and began working in the shade 'nooner'. I then took a smaller crease brush and the same shade, but deepened the colour to give a slight 'cut crease' effect and to give it more definition.

To highlight my brow bone, I took the shade 'strange' and blended that in with the crease colour. I love the natural shimmer that this champagne colour gives my brows!

Up to this point, my eyes were completed, however I couldn't help myself but add a pop of glitter; I used my Barry M Glitter Dust in the shade 'gold iridescent'. By spraying my flat eyeshadow brush with MAC Prep and Prime Fix +, the colour of the glitter and the intensity was magnified to glitter heaven! I popped this shade in the centre of my lid and then went back in with the shade 'nooner' from the Naked 3 palette and blended everything together.

Next, I took my favourite liquid eyeliner - the L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim and began to draw a thin line across the lash line. I then created a thin wing and joined that up with the rest of the line.

For mascara, I used the No7, Dramatic Lift in the shade 'black', and coated my top lashes to add volume, depth and length before applying the Ardell Demi Wispies False Lashes! Once applied, I added a layer of the Collection Fast Stroke liquid eyeliner in the shade 'black' across my lash line to blend everything together.

For my lower lash line, I applied the shade 'nooner' across the outer edge of my eye blending in with the shade 'dust' as it moved into the inner corners. To complete the eyes, I used a few coats of the same mascara on my bottom lashes!

For my lips, I have been loving the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in shade 07 'Nude-ist!' ever since I purchased it a couple of months back and I thought it would be the perfect shade to compliment the eyes. To line and define my lips, I took the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in 'Eastern Snob'. I then applied the Bourjois lipstick and left that for a minute to dry into a beautiful matte finish!

Finally, I finished this makeup look with a few sprays of my MAC Prep and Prime Fix + to give me a dewy finish and really make the colours pop!
