SMOKY PURPLE AUTUMNAL LOOK//MAKEUP

Can you believe Christmas is less than a month away!? Whatttttttt!

Seeing as we are well into the autumn months as November has well and truly FLOWN by, I thought this week would be the perfect week for a fall/autumnal makeup look.

So, as I'm sure you've guessed already, that's what I went for today!

Today's look was very focused on the more berry, purpley/pinky shades of fall on both the eyes and lips, however, I did do a couple shots with a nude lip (wearing MAC Kinda Sexy), in case the bold berry lip doesn't tickle your fancy for a more of a daytime look.

To begin with, I took my Sleek Makeup i-Divine Au Naturel 601 palette. I have had this palette for sooooo long and I always found myself reaching for other ones that I own, but today I was like 'you know what', I'm gonna go with this one today, and I was SUPER impressed, like it's incredible! The colours are so gorgeous, pigmented and so easy to blend; just a dream really, lol.

*please excuse my nails - they need some TLC*

I began by taking this orangey neutral shade and blending this into the crease as a transition shade, to give a really blended out look when the finished product is complete.

Next, I grabbed a large fluffy blending brush and took this beautiful matte plum shade and popped that on top of my transition shade in the crease. Because the shades are so pigmented, a lot of blending is needed to get rid of the harsh lines - just think window wiper motions lol.

Next, I took this super spectacularly, shimmery plum shade and began patting this directly onto the lid. It is a slightly darker shade than the previous one we have just used in our crease so it really stands out. You can pack on as little or as much on as you like but I fancied a super bold look so I slapped it on.

I then went back to that matte plum shade and blended it all together.

To darken to outer corners, I took this grey metallic shade and patted this on the very outer edges of my eye just to add a bit more depth to the look.

Next I moved onto my brows and today I used the Sleek Makeup Brow Kit in Light 817. I began by using the left side with a slanted brow brush to draw out the outline of my brows. I then grabbed the powder side and the flat brush and filled in the rest of my brows.

To set them in place, I used the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara in the shade Medium Brown.

To finish off the eyes, I took this amazing champagne shimmer shade and popped that below the arch of my brows to add a highlight.

I followed this by lining my eyes with the Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner and a few coats of the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic mascara. I then took my all time favourite lashes - the KISS True Volume LASH Ritzy lashes and placed them on my lash line. I also added a few coats of mascara to blend the falsies and my natural lashes together.

For all the products used on my face, see my NIGHT GLAM//MAKEUP post.

Next, I took the matte plum shade and blended that out on the outer edges of my lower lash line.

To complete the look, I lined my lips with the Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in the shade 105 'under my spell'. I then used the Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick in the shade 'berry much' to fill in the rest of the lips!
