FESTIVE CHRISTMAS GLAM//MAKEUP

With Christmas fast creeping upon us and all the glitz and glam that takes over the party season, us girls have A LOT of prepping to do.

So today, I went out on a limb with my Naked Smoky Palette and experimented to create this 'festive Christmas glam' look!

To start off this look, I took my No7 Beautiful Eyebrow Pencil in the shade 'brown' and used the spoolie end of the pencil to brush my eyebrows in the direction of the shape I was aiming to create. I then took the pencil end and drew an outline of my brows to give me a guideline to lightly fill in the rest of my eyebrows. To create a natural, even finish, I brushed through my brows with the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara in Medium Brown.

Next I moved onto my eyes. To begin with, I took some regular tape and placed it in line with the outer corner of my eye up to the end of my eyebrow. This gives the finish look a sharp, sleek line.

To prime my eyes, I took my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade 'fair' and blended it out across my entire lid. To set the concealer, I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Powder in 'fair'.

I began by taking the shade 'combust' as a transition shade in my crease.

Next, I took the shade 'dagger' and took a small fluffy brush and began blending the grey shade into the crease. I am not going to lie, it does look a bit scary when you first pop it on the lid, but just keep blending it out girl.

After this, I used the shade 'black market' on a smaller defining brush and placed the smoky shade on the outer corners of my eye and blended the colour up gently into the crease to give a slight cut crease effect.

Next, I took the shade 'slanted' on a flat shadow brush and patted that across the centre of my lid, focusing on blending it out towards to inner corners. I then went directly over the top of that shade with 'armor' to intensify the colour.

To intensify to silver colour even more, I took my Barry M Dazzle Dust in the shade 'aphrodite'. I sprayed my brush with a bit of MAC Prep & Prime Fix + to bring out the glitter even more before gently patting it onto the centre of my lid. I then took a few previous shades used and blended the whole look together.

To finish off the eyeshadow, I used the shade 'high' to highlight my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes.

After curling my lashes, I coated my top lashes with my fave; the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara in 'extra black'.

For today's lashes, I grabbed my Eylure Exaggerate No 143. I love the finish these lashes give as your eyes look so much more wide, awake and fluttery!

Time to fix the face!

Firstly, I begun by peeling off the bits of tape and wiping away any fallout on my face.

Next, I used the No7 Instant Illusions Airbrush Away Primer across my entire face to give me a super smooth and even base for my foundation.

For my foundation, I used the No7 Beautifully Matte in the shade 'Deeply Beige' as I love the flawless finish that this foundation gives time after time.

After this, to conceal any dark circles and to highlight, I used my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 'fair' under my eyes in a triangular shape, down the bridge of my nose, in the centre of my forehead and my chin and on my cupids bow. I blended the concealer out with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

To set my face, I used the Collection Pressed Powder in the shade 'transulcent'.

To sculpt my face, I used the Collection Blush and Glow Palette. I begun by taking the contour shade in the hollows of my cheekbones, down the sides of my nose and across my jawline.

Next, I grabbed my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade 'Global Glow' just above the contour shade on my cheekbones, on my temples and around my forehead.

For blush, I combined the two shades in the collection palette and blended the shades on the apples of my cheeks.

To highlight, I used the highlight shade again in the collection palette on the top of my cheekbones and down my nose.

To finish off my eyes, I took the shade 'dagger' on the outer corner of my lower lash line, blending into 'armor' towards my inner corner. I then added a few coats of my L'Oreal Telescopic mascara to my lower lashes!

To finish off the entire look, I used my No7 Lip Liner in the shade 'red' to outline my lips, followed by my Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream in the shade 'rioja red'.
