On Tuesday night, my friends and I went on a night out, so what better way to try out my new Smokey Naked palette by Urban Decay for the first time!
I can well and truely say, I AM IN LOVE. I am usually not one to go for a dramatic dark smokey eye as I just love the neutral look way too much, but I think this palette might be a game changer in my makeup collection!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the INCREDIBLE packaging that the palette sits in...the design has got to be one of the best things about it. It comes in a grey and black smokey swirly look which is super cool and edgy in comparison to their other palettes.
To find out what products and how I used them, head over to my NIGHT GLAM//MAKEUP post where I run through step by step of what foundation, contour, powders etc I use on my face.
For my eyes, I start by priming my eyes with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 'Fair 1' and set that with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade 'Silky Beige'. Next, to fill my brows in, I take my Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil, and use the pencil side to carve out the outline of my brows, then use the tinted side of the pencil to fill the rest of my brows in.
Now for the exciting moment...here comes the Naked Smoky palette, eeeek! I start off my smokey eye with the dark grey shimmery shade 'Smoulder' and blend that out in my crease until I'm happy with it and it becomes the perfect transition shade. To give the look the dark, sexy, smokey glam look, I take the colour 'Black Market' and pop it all over my lid and blend into the crease. I then grab my trusty Mac Prep and Prime Fix + and spray my eyeshadow brush so that the next shimmer shade I am about to use becomes so much more pigmented (even more than they are already), and to minimise excess dropping onto your face. Now that my brush is set, I grab the shade 'Amor' and gently pat that with my brush on top of the 'Black Market' shade to give that added smokey, shimmery look.
To complete the eyes, I take my L'Oreal Paris Superliner in Perfect Slim and draw a thin winged eyeliner on both eyes starting from the outside working inwards, followed by my favourite mascara - the L'Oreal Paris Falselash Telescopic. For my bottom lash line, I take the shade 'Black Market' and blend inwards from the outer corner of my eye, bringing it into the centre. Then I pop the shade 'Amor' in the inner corners of my eyes and finish with a few coats of mascara.
Finally, to line my lips, I have used my Max Faxtor Color Elixir Lip Liner in the shade 'Brown & Nude' followed by the perfect Mac Matte Lipstick - Velvet Teddy.
After a few sprays of Mac Prep and Prime Fix +, the look is complete!
